Matchy

Here in PDX we get lots of rain.  Not massively heavy down pour, but some form of sprinkle/hail/windy, sideways rain what have you.  That being said this little diddy would go awesomely with some of our dresses, don't you think?

Short Break

I apologize for the lack of updates to the shop.  Things are working itself out right now and I've got a bunch of items in the works. So hopefully next week we'll be back in the swing of things!

In the meantime here's our shop again.

Although its not mentioned on our Etsy, if you see something you like, and its not in your size convo me.  If I have enough fabric I'd be happy to tailor a dress or skirt to fit your little one.

Don't be shy about asking.

Nautical Dress

If there were one dress in the shop that I had to have in my size it would be the nautical inspired striped dress with the red anchor.  It combines a couple of my favorite elements.  Stripes.  specifically black and white stripes.  Anchors.  This one is bright red and a pretty decent size.

This would be an amazing dress to any little girls collection.

The cut is a typical smock style but with cute ruffled straps.  This adds up to one comfortable dress for the summer.  Running, jumping, riding a bike and climbing a tree would be no problem in this little number!

Don't you agree?

Kokeshi Dress

Just added a kokeshi doll dress to the shop.  The kokeshi doll fabric is olive with a multitude of dolls, varying form 3/4 to 1-inch in size scattered throughout.  Of course this wouldn't be Mini Mob dress without stripes somewhere.  The bodice and ruffle are made out of a black & cream striped fabric that pairs beautifully with the cute doll fabric.

Dress is available in 3T at the Mini Mob etsy shop!  Here's a peak at the dress:

Sunshine was Here Today

Today was one of those fabulously sunny and warm days.  Everyone out in dresses, short sleeved tees, skirts and shorts.  The sun was bright and was an amazing day to head out to the farm for an Easter Egg Hunt.  One of those days that you live in Portland where gray skies seem to last for 9 out of 12 months.  Needless to day, to day was amazing!

Put the baby Pfeffer in a one of a kind dress (sample of a new pattern I designed), received a bunch of compliments and passed on the shop info.  Yay!

The Wheels are in Motion

So slowly but surely I'm letting the gates to Mini Mob open.  The Facebook Page is created and the word is slowly being spread.  I'm afraid of letting everyone in my community know since stock is still relatively slow.  I'm excited but totally nervous.  I know my stuff is for a niche market but totally a niche that needed some serious filling.  So here I go, jumping in head first with my eyes wide open!

Stock will be built up over the course of the next few weeks.  I'm planning on working my way up to 5T so the brand range will be 12mo through 5T.  I suppose that covers the toddler size range.

Twirl Skirt

If you have a little girl you know how much they love to twirl.  I know growing up I loved it.  Whenever I put on a dress or skirt I HAD to test out the "twirl factor"  the bigger the twirl the more I loved the item.

Till this day my mother still talks about the twrilling and, if you can believe, she even asks if I still test out my skirts/dresses! Hmmm?  Ok, I admit, sometimes I do.  Can't help it.

Our skirt, The Big Twirl, is made up of three gathered layers.  Each layer is cut with a generous amount of fabric which allows for maximum twirl, no girl will be able to resist spinning in this beauty.

Why don't you take a look for yourself (its sort of the sister skirt to the previously listed dress):

Imported

My mobile Blogger seems to be acting wonky so unfortunately i'll need to upload photos separatly (i.e. still need to take proper pictures) but to get down to it I received 6-yards of imported Japanese fabric the other day.  I'm really excited about it as normally the imported stuff is a bit more costly and since this was a gift its extra special.

One of the fabrics is a beautiful grass green and covered with lots of little kokeshi dolls.  Another is black with tiny bunnies and red dots and lastly one just covered in a mass cherry blossom print in shades of white, pink, gray and metallic gold.  The cherry blossom is extremely beautiful and so very expensive looking.  I feel like it would be amazing when transformed into a twirly skirt for a little girl.

New Stock

The Mini Mob Etsy store is relatively new and has been flying under the radar for several weeks with only a few items.  Today more items have been uploaded.  Over the course of the next few weeks I hope to add more in a variety of sizes.

Currently I have stock for 12m, 18m, 24m/2T, and 3T.  I was thinking of only stocking up to size 5T but we'll see how things go.  Stock includes mostly dresses, none of which are currently duplicated in the shop and a few skirts.

I'm working on some new patterns and need to buckle down and draft them & test them out.  Until then all new items will likely be current styles but of course new fabrics.

Here's a peek of one of the new additions:

Introducing Mini Mob

Mini Mob has been a brain child of mine for many years.  Something that was pined over and never, ever thought could be a reality.  Spending the last 10-years in the corporate world didn't allow me to act on this vision.

The birth of a daughter and seeing what's out there really made me think.  I wanted cool, hip, modern pieces for her that were boutique quality, well made and not on every Sally, Jane and Ashley out there.  And, like most mom's, I dove in head first making it happen.  My passion grew and grew, and people were curious about what she had on.  Thus, the brain child had surfaced and my vision has become a reality.

Introducing Mini Mob a hip and modern dress shop for the little girl.  Dresses, shapes and fabrics that mom's adore but for their little girl.
